How to Add Schedules to Your Calendar App
You can subscribe to your athlete's schedule so events automatically appear in your favorite calendar app. This keeps your personal calendar in sync with all practices, games, and tournaments.
Finding the Calendar Subscription Option
- Open the Rostered app and go to the Family tab.
- Tap on your athlete's card to open their detail screen.
- Look for the calendar subscription icon next to the Upcoming Schedule section header.
- Tap the calendar icon to open the subscription panel.
Copying the Calendar URL
- In the calendar subscription panel, you will see the subscription URL.
- Tap the Copy URL button to copy the link to your clipboard.
- The button will change to show "Copied!" to confirm.
Adding to Apple Calendar (iPhone/iPad)
- Copy the subscription URL from the Rostered app.
- Open the Settings app on your iPhone or iPad.
- Navigate to Calendar then Accounts.
- Tap Add Account and select Other.
- Tap Add Subscribed Calendar.
- Paste the URL you copied and tap Next.
- Configure your preferred refresh interval and tap Save.
The calendar will now appear in your Calendar app and sync automatically.
Adding to Google Calendar
- Copy the subscription URL from the Rostered app.
- Open Google Calendar on a computer (calendar.google.com).
- In the left sidebar, click the + next to "Other calendars".
- Select From URL.
- Paste the subscription URL. Note: Change
webcal://tohttps://at the beginning of the URL. - Click Add calendar.
The events will sync to your Google Calendar and appear on all devices where you use Google Calendar.
Adding to Microsoft Outlook
- Copy the subscription URL from the Rostered app.
- Open Outlook Calendar (outlook.com or Outlook desktop app).
- Click Add calendar in the left sidebar.
- Select Subscribe from web.
- Paste the subscription URL. Note: Change
webcal://tohttps://at the beginning of the URL. - Give the calendar a name (e.g., "Soccer Schedule").
- Click Import.
Regenerating Your Calendar URL
If you need a new calendar URL (for example, if the old one was shared accidentally):
- Open the calendar subscription panel for your athlete.
- Look for the Regenerate Token button in the security notice section.
- Tap Regenerate Token to create a new URL.
- Important: The old URL will stop working immediately.
- You will need to update the subscription in your calendar apps with the new URL.
Important Security Note
Your calendar subscription URL contains a private access token. This means:
- Anyone with the URL can view your athlete's schedule
- Do not share the URL publicly or post it online
- If you accidentally share it, use the Regenerate Token feature to get a new URL
Calendar Sync Frequency
Subscribed calendars typically refresh:
- Apple Calendar: Every few hours (configurable in Settings)
- Google Calendar: Approximately once per day
- Outlook: Varies based on settings
