How to RSVP to Events

RSVPs help coaches plan practices, games, and tournaments by knowing who will attend. When your athlete has events requiring a response, you will see an RSVP banner on the Family tab.

Finding Pending RSVPs

  1. Open the Rostered app and go to the Family tab.
  2. Look for your athlete's card on the dashboard.
  3. If RSVPs are needed, you will see a yellow banner below the athlete's upcoming event showing something like "2 RSVPs needed".
  4. Tap on the RSVP banner to see all pending RSVPs for that athlete.

Responding to a Single-Day Event

  1. On the RSVP screen, tap on the event you want to respond to.
  2. A modal will appear showing the event details including:
    • Event title and type (practice, game, tournament)
    • Date and time
    • Venue location
  3. Select one of the response options:
    • Attending - Your athlete will be there
    • Not Attending - Your athlete cannot make it
    • Maybe - You are not sure yet
  4. Tap Submit to save your response.

Responding to Multi-Day Events

For tournaments and multi-day competitions, you can respond for each day individually:

  1. Tap on the multi-day event from the RSVP list.
  2. The modal will show all dates the event spans.
  3. For each date, select whether your athlete is:
    • Attending
    • Not Attending
    • Maybe
  4. Tap Submit to save all your responses at once.

This allows flexibility when your athlete can only attend certain days of a tournament.

RSVP Confirmation

When you submit an RSVP:

  • Your response is immediately visible to the coaching staff
  • If there are multiple guardians linked to the athlete, all guardians can see the RSVP status
  • Coaches can see the attendance count for planning purposes

Changing Your Response

If your plans change, you can update your RSVP at any time before the event:

  1. Navigate back to the RSVP screen for your athlete.
  2. Tap on the event you previously responded to.
  3. Select a different response option.
  4. Tap Submit to save the updated response.

  • Respond as early as possible so coaches can plan accordingly
  • Check the RSVP deadline if one is set - some events may lock responses after a certain date
  • If you select "Maybe", try to update your response once you know for certain
